The Bharat Cell is not just another battery; it represents a leap in technological advancement.

Backed by over 70 patents, this innovative battery technology is designed to increase energy density and improve production efficiency.

As a result, the cost per kilowatt-hour of the battery is significantly reduced, making electric vehicles more affordable and accessible to the masses.

Scaling Up for the Future

Ola Electric has ambitious plans for the Bharat Cell. The company is adopting a phased approach to cell manufacturing, aiming to achieve a production capacity of 5GWh by 2024, with a goal of scaling up to 20GWh by 2026.

The ultimate target is an impressive 100GWh by 2030. This scaling strategy aligns with Ola's vision of transforming India's energy landscape and solidifying its position as a leader in the EV industry.

Quality and Safety: Bharat Cell's BIS Certification

The Bharat Cell has earned the prestigious Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification, underscoring its quality and safety.

This certification is a crucial endorsement, ensuring that the battery meets stringent safety standards. With this certification in hand, Ola Electric is set to intensify testing at its gigafactory over the next six to nine months.

Impact on India's EV Sector

Ola Electric's CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, has expressed confidence in the Bharat Cell's potential to revolutionize India's EV market.
